Larry Mousouris

As a player at San Marcos High School Larry was a league champion in 1966.Moving on to Cal Poly Larry was the California Collegiate Athletic Association conference champion and earned "All American" honors as a Division 2 singles quarter finalist and doubles runner up.

Larry graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Physical Education with a minor in Coaching and did post graduate work in Kinesiology. He also holds a Community College teaching credential.

Larry began teaching at the Tennis Club in 1972 and also coached Santa Barbara City College in 1989 to their lone State championship and was named Coach of the Year For the Western States Conference.

During his tenure at the SBTC Larry has developed numerous elite level high school, collegiate and World junior champions including Mike Falberg( US Open Junior champion 1980),Tim Trigueiro ( US Open Junior champion 1985) and Kayla Day (US Open Junior champion and # 1 world ranked in 2016).Larry currently continues to coach Kayla as she competes on the WTA tour

Larry was inducted into the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Hall of Fame in 2016.
